Most solar lights come with batteries already installed into the lights. These solar batteries have a life span of two to three years of good performance. If the solar lights are starting to go dim and this is mainly due to the batteries in the light needing to be replaced with new solar batteries.

SolarWarehouse.com would like to suggest that you first replace the solar batteries with a normal working alkaline battery. If the solar light returns to it’s normal brightness it is time to get new solar batteries. If the light still does not function then the solar light needs to be replaced. Make sure when you do test your solar light that you place it in a dark room so that the light sensor will trigger the solar light to turn on.

Most solar lights have a battery compartment that be found inside under the cover of the light. This will have a battery door that you can open and replace the solar batteries easily. If you do not see a battery compartment then the solar batteries are inside the light and you will need to take the solar light apart to access the batteries.

All solar light batteries are 1.2 volts but they can range in different Milliamps. This will determine the run time for your light. Batteryhouse offers two milliamp ratings for your lights. Most solar lights use AA batteries but we also carry a AAA solar light battery if you need that also. If you have any questions about our solar light batteries please feel free to call at any time.
