I got these awesome solar powered figurines as a gift from my sister. She is absolutely awesome when it comes to figuring out what I really need. Cause you know the problem is that very often I don’t know what I will get in the end – I just have my “wants” that are not always very feasible.
So I called my sister once and kept going on and on about my neighbor’s back yard that just had undergone a total landscaping “facelift”. I knew I did not manage to convey all my excitement and (oh well) a little bit of jealousy as the back yard of my neighbors was just perfect from any point of view. I just told my sister in the end that I want to do something to light up my garden and back yard.
And here she was, my genius sister, who gave me these awesome solar lights – Solar powered dragonfly and Solar powered hummingbird
I never in fact considered that any solar product could be cool. But the features of those lights were just too good not to mention them. I just had to stake them into the ground in a sunny spot – no wiring, no batteries, no digging is required. The solar panel absorbs the sun energy and then illuminates the clear figurine for hours through the night – hues changing from blue to emerald to violet and so on across the spectrum of the rainbow. The photo sensor turns it on at dusk and off at dawn automatically for worry-free enjoyment.
Now I go out and take a look at my flower-bed in my garden and I can never stop admiring that – an environmentally friendly beautiful and easy-to-assemble solution that makes my whole back yard look like a fairy-tale. And I love the fact that my electricity bill does not get a penny bigger!
