I don’t know about you guys but I am one of those many girls out there who are scared of darkness. This fear of mine has cost me dear. Nothing life threatening, of course, aside from huge electricity bills, since I have a variety of lamps – floor lamps, night-lights, wall-lamps – all turned on pretty much during the whole dark period of the night.
Well, you know what – I just found a solution to that problem! No, I am still afraid of dark in any shape. But! I discovered a Sun jar lamp that is going to be my first step to a more environmentally friendly home and, most importantly, saving money and reducing electricity consumption.
This little gadget is as powerful as any lamp out there – but it runs on free solar energy! I just love it – I place this jar lamp in a sunny area during the day and a solar cell charges the battery. In the evening, the low-energy LED lamp is activated by a light sensor, bringing a romantic natural glow to my home and garden (if I decide to put it outside).
From now on the sun shines in my home even at night! I am also considering buying some of those cute solar lights to brighten up my patio. See, my childish fear of darkness has actually turned into something useful!
