I never thought that lighting up a back yard or patio would become such a challenge. I and my wife just moved to a new home and there it was – the totally empty back yard that Nancy, my wife, wanted to turn into some kind of a neighbors-will-envy-us project!
My biggest fear was that I would have to spend endless hours just trying to fix in the wiring – I mean Nancy had the idea that the ENTIRE garden should just shine in the dark. However I was incredibly lucky to find a place online that had all the gear that we eventually needed for both utilitarian and decorative purposes.
Solar garden lights literally saved our family budget and tons of my time (which is also precious, at least for me). You will not believe how simple and easy the installation of these lights is. In fact, after I ordered the first set of 2 solar powered pink roses and installed it in just a couple minutes (that’s how long it took me to pick the right sunny spot for it in the garden) my wife just fell in love with this concept and took over the whole part of ordering the rest of the garden lights for our garden and back yard.
Nancy found th
is solar powered flower with color changing LED that was just perfect for the flower-bed that she has arranged – even during the day this light acts as an ornament while absorbing solar energy to provide a warm ambient glow in the dark.
And of course the next cute purchase (Nancy is a girly girl, so anything cute is bound to be in our garden at some point) was this set of dragonfly, hummingbird and water lily set of solar powered light sticks. The best part of it is that you can install these lights anywhere and change the place of installation as often as you wish – as long as there is enough sunlight to charge the solar panels during the day.
We love the way our garden lighting has turned out by now but we are by no means done with decorating. Solar energy, while keeping our electricity bill as low as it has ever been, provides us with a constant supply of ideas on how to make our life even more efficient. And that is what I love about the whole thing!
